Cattlemens has teamed up with the Student Ambassadors at Sonoma State University with foam paws for sporting events.

ROHNERT PARK, CALIF. Date: October 29, 2004 - Cattlemens has joined forces with the Student Ambassadors at Sonoma State University. With a generous donation to one of the club's event programs "Blue Zoo," Cattlemens and the Student Ambassadors celebrate with foam paws. One of the programs that the ambassadors at Sonoma State implement is "Blue Zoo," a spirit committee dedicated to sporting event planning and awareness. This program is widely known on the university's campus, as many students participate "in the zoo."

"It's really great to see a company like Cattlemens get involved with the community, especially with the university," said Ambassador Public Relations Chair Alyssa Frazier. "Since they are a local company, becoming involved with the community shows that even though they are a large business, they are still grounded," added Frazier.

A new spirit aspect of Blue Zoo came when Cattlemens munificently donated to them, thus bringing foam paws to the spirit committee. The foam paws that are present at each sporting event, waving in the stands supporting the Seawolves and their athletics. Sponsored solely by Cattlemens, the foam paws boast the Cattlemens and Student Ambassador logos on the back, and "SEAWOLVES" on the front.

"It's really awesome to sit in the back of the stands at a game and see "Cattlemens" waving back and forth," said the ambassadors' Blue Zoo Chairman. "I think it is a great relationship between the university and a local favorite," he added.

The foam paws will be sold by the Student Ambassadors Public Relations committee at various sporting events throughout they year.

Cattlemens is a casual, western-themed steakhouse chain based in Santa Rosa, California. Founded in 1968 by a father-son team with decades of experience in the cattle business, eleven locations now serve California, Nevada and Arizona. Still family-owned and operated, each location follows the "Cattlemens Code," offering the feel and flavor of the old west, aged and hand-cut beef, the finest ingredients, and old-fashioned western hospitality. Serving generous portions and all-natural Harris Ranch beef, Cattlemens is always in good taste.
