Auto Formatting

Auto Formatting is one of the easiest ways to get a spreadsheet to get and keep a users attention.. Below is a picture of how this is done.

We need to select the group of cells (we highlighted A1:D4) that we wish to change the formatting for and then go from the FORMAT menu -- down to AutoFormat. Here is a picture of what you will see there. Notice that there are a number of styles to choose from. Click on one that suits you and try it. You can also change the settings once you have picked one of the styles from the Auto Format box.
