Pre-Made Formulas |

Excel comes with a number of common Formulas or "Functions" as they are sometimes called. These formulas or "functions" are accessed by clicking on the 
symbol which is right next to your formula bar. See below for a picture;
Clicking on this symbol bring's up a list of common functions. See below for some of the formulas included with Excel.
Within this box is a drop down box that gives you a number of categorys such as "Financial", "Date & Time", "Math & Trig", etc. Within each of these categorys are a number of pre-made formula/functions that are common to these categorys. Besides the pre-made formula/functions that Excel provides you can create and save your own.
